Banners for Parade of States

A tradition at the National Self Advocacy Conference is the parade of states. For 2018, self-advocates on the conference committee chose the artwork picturing Lady Justice to represent the theme “Let’s Make It Happen! Disability Rights are Civil Rights. For the parade of states during the opening ceremony, the conference committee would like every state to make their own Banner that represents rights important to your members of your organization.

The banners need to be limited in size to no larger than 3×5, in order so there will be room to display all. If your state already has a banner, you may use it. Remember you will choose someone to carry the banner during the opening ceremony. Please include state name on Banners and have fun! Please contact Julie Petty at japetty@uark.edu with the name of the person carrying the banner for your state and with any questions.
